Behind The Lens
My name is Brayden Vickery. I was born in 1993 in a little town called Inverell, in north west New South Wales. I grew up on a farm just outside of Tingha, half an hour from Inverell. I come from a big family. Lots of cousins and aunts and uncles. I also have 7 sisters... not a single brother. I have no regrets about that though. I have all the love in the world for my sisters! I am married to my beautiful wife, Abigail, who has done so well to put up with me and my family. My family is crazy! Together, we have a Son named Austin who at at time of writing is 10 months old. We have a daughter on the way, due in July 2019. The farm I grew up on has been in my family since the early 70's, and it will be in my family for a long time to come. It isn't just a sheep farm. it is a place where people of all ages come to relax, rewind and have fun. As well as farming, my family also owns and operates an amusement park. I spent many hours running up to the top of our water slide and sliding down again. Most of my inspiration is drawn from my experiences at home. I love the simplicity. The beauty of simplicity is something I try to share with my supporters and clients through my artworks. I am passionate about simplicity. I believe however, that a service can be simple and still be of exceptional quality. That is what my service is all about. Some of my bookings begin with an optional appointment where I can get to know the client. Then the creative process begins. I have until the scheduled shoot to think about how best to make the client's personality stand out! I meet with the client and take their photos. From there, my client receives a customised package including 6x4 prints and a USB with digital copies. After viewing the 6x4 prints, my clients often choose to have a number of their favourites framed and enlarged, or even printed onto canvas or aluminium.
